Safety Monitors
AAA Safety Patrol at Central Elementary
At Central Elementary, we are proud to offer our AAA Safety Patrol Program as a leadership opportunity for responsible and dedicated 3rd - 5th grade students. This program enables students to play an active role in maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming school environment for all. Students who are interested in becoming Safety Patrol members must demonstrate strong leadership skills, responsibility, and a commitment to being a positive role model. To apply, students must complete an application process that includes teacher references and obtain approval from their parent or guardian.
Once selected, Safety Patrol members receive training from the School Constable and supporting staff to prepare them for their responsibilities. These trained Safety Monitors serve in a variety of essential roles throughout the school, including:
- Monitoring hallways and bus areas
- Assisting fellow students who may need help or guidance
- Helping maintain a safe and respectful school environment
Students typically serve for the school year. Other students are sometimes added after the initial placement, ensuring that more students have the opportunity to grow through this meaningful leadership experience. The AAA Safety Patrol is more than just a responsibility—it’s a chance for students to lead, serve, and make a positive impact on their school community.
