21st Century Afterschool Program

21st Century Logo

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year at Central Middle School. This year will bring many exciting opportunities for our students, including the reintroduction of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC).

The goals of the CMS SWAG (Students With Amazing Goals) afterschool enrichment program are to:

•Increase academic achievement of participating students in one or more academic area
•Increase school connectedness of participants, including families, caregivers and school teachers
•Increase capacity of participants to become productive adults

The CMS SWAG program incorporates homework help, mentoring/tutoring, and academic enrichment. Students have the opportunity to participate in four eight-week sessions. Social and life skills are emphasized; providing an opportunity for students to engage positively with caring adults.

Benefits of the 21st Century Community Learning Center:

Academic Center
Recreation/Social Clubs (Junior Achievement, STEAM Programs and more)
Field Trips
Career Insights
Parent Workshops
Family and Social Events and the list goes on. . . .

Getting Started: Completed application. You will be contacted to participate in a Parent Orientation.

FEE: There is no fee to participate in the program.

Again, welcome to the 21st Century Community Learning Center CMS SWAG program at Central Middle School. I look forward to working with your family.

Yours in Service,
